I cannot open the program on my Ipad beyond the opening screen. After that, the entire screen goes black and nothing happens.

Hi. Can you confirm that you are running the latest version of iOS on your iPad? You should connect to iTunes on your computer and ensure that you're running version 4.3 of the iPad operating system. The app may not work correctly if your iPad is running an earlier version of the operating system.

Same for me, and yes, I'm on 4.3. It started streaming the live wedding, then went black, and only opens to a black screen now.

The live wedding stream has now finished. As stated in the App Store description, the live wedding stream was available between 9am and 5pm on Saturday 29 April. That is UK time (British Summer Time), so your local time may vary.

But you should not be seeing the "Wedding live!" video button now.

As you reload the app and tap the wedding button, it checks our server for the current "playlist" of videos from a special file. The "Wedding Live" video link should no longer appear on your screen because it no longer exists in our playlist file. If it is appearing on your screen, this could mean your ISP or network operator is "caching" the playlist file. We unfortunately have no control over this. Caches are very important in helping networks handle capacity, and typically caches expire after a period of time.

Can you confirm, for example, that the "Body language" video does work fine?

Umm, I think you will find the wedding was on a Friday :-)

It was during the live broadcast time period that it died.

I have now removed it and reinstalled it, and it works again, but a big thumbs down for the live broadcast fail.

Apologies for referencing "Saturday" in the above support response to you. Clearly the 29th was the Friday and this was just an error in the above support response. The live broadcast of the wedding was correctly shown on Friday during the UK hours stated in App Store description and we received no reports of downtime from Akamai, the global content delivery network that carried the Sky broadcast.

The stream was constantly monitored during the live hours by the Sky News team between 0900 and 1700 hours British Summer Time. The stream was available globally, so if you can let us know which timezone you are in, we can calculate the time of your original support request in relation to the live broadcast hours and provide the Sky News team with this information, should they find there was an issue at this time.

    Many thanks.
